We pay him 5 per week for boarding and taking care of panpers. The farm consists of 160 acres, with about 67 acres cleared. We have had 23 acres cleared this year, which accounts for our expending so much money. We have not rented the farm for the coming year, but have hired a man to work it at 300 per year. Buildings are warmed by wood stoves, and ventilated by doors and windows. Treatment of panpers is humane; common farmers food and plenty of it, three times a day.
