William Lowry and Olivia Pickens, his wife, both from Castle Blaney, County Monaghan, Ireland.Colonel Lowry came to Baltimore in 1794, and shortly after was commissioned by Governor Lee, of Maryland, Major of the 27th Regiment, Maryland Volunteers.
