The variety of occupations open to young men of the present day is shown by the statistics of 408 members of the Harvard class of 1898, of whom 100 intended to study law, 29 to study medicine, 45 to teach, 14 to become manufacturers, 12 to prepare for the ministry, and 12 to enter journalism.
