With provincial emphasis on volunteer retention and increased participation, the results of this research determined that the BCLA must continue to engage, encourage and empower the individuals who volunteer at the community level. An online survey, community of practice dialogue forum, and regional focus groups provided the vehicles for collaboration with the key stakeholders who informed this project. In the spirit of the BCLA s transformation into a learning community, the research findings have been categorized under organizational culture, volunteer culture, learning community and community leadership topics.
