Inspired by a song, Jacques heard in a dream,only a few words that he could remember but they went something likethis -All roads lead to love they sayWe share our different ways to the placeThe place where we come from.When they heard The Big Ones planning a long voyage, they thoughtthis was the Answer, they would go with The Big Ones as stowaways andmaybe find the place where they came from.After a long, exciting and sometimes dangerous trip where theyencountered rough water, rapids and big animals called bears, theyfinally arrived here in the beautiful forest on the shores of LakeGamoonishkin, and this is where they settled. It was a challenge forthem but they made friends with all the birds and animals, especiallythe Bald Eagle. When they told him of their search for other elves, heoffered to help and by the following spring, they had their new friends.From then on, life became more exciting and interesting and they werealways hopeful they would find where they came from. They oftenremembered the words to the song. Many elves came to live here and theycalled this place The Lake Gamoonishkin Elf Settlement.
