The uncommon revised edition of this early work on fitness and bodybuilding with illustrations and the scarce folding chart. Revised edition of Strength and How to Obtain It by Eugen Sandow in the original publisher's cloth binding. An uncommon edition. Undated, dated from Jisc and the copy held by the British Library. Illustrated with twenty one monochrome plates including a frontispiece. With the folding Anatomical Chart illustrating the Exercises for Physical Development. Collated, complete. Sandow was a German bodybuilder and showman, who in 1901 organised the first major bodybuilding competition set in London's Royal Albert Hall. He judged the event alongside author Arthur Conan Doyle and athlete Charles Lawes-Wittewronge. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, sound. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some slight loss to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound.
