Since launching in 2003, Transforming Social Work Practice has become the market-leading series for student social workers. Now the books have been updated to include the Professional Capabilities Framework for Social Work, making them more relevant to students and more integrated into social work practice. These books have a greater emphasis on current thinking and policy, and include more opportunities for students to reflect on their own practice and study. Interprofessional learning is a core aspect of the social work degree and central to students' understanding of effective successful practice. All social work students are required to undertake specific learning and assessment in partnership working and information sharing and this fully-revised second edition explores this by looking at how social work collaborates with youth work, teaching, the legal profession, carers, service users and their families and other health professionals. There are updated sections that look in detail at SCIE learning tools while the text is supported by a range of critical activities such as case studies, critical reflection points and research summaries. The Series Editors Professor Jonathan Parker is Director of the Centre for Social Work and Social Policy Research at Bournemouth University. He is currently Vice-Chair of the Joint University Council Social Work Education Committee. Greta Bradley is a senior lecturer in social work at the University of York. Her academic interests are in community care and workforce studies in social work. Her most recent research is on aspects of sustainable practice in social work. She is former editor of Practice.
